To take a leading role in providing, maintaining, creating and developing innovative social support programs, services and education that ensure ex-offenders and people living with HIV/AIDS are empowered to live productive, fulfilling lives.
To provide case management and social services to persons affected by HIV/AIDS and provide re-entry services to ex-offenders. Agape Missions provides Case Management, Housing, Education/Prevention Programs, Employment, HIV Counseling and Testing, Identification, Transportation and Individual Counseling & Coaching to diverse populations in Will, Grundy, Kankakee, Southern Cook and surrounding counties.
The agency was formed in September 1991 as AIDS Ministry of Illinois to serve the needs of persons affected by HIV/AIDS. In 2003, the agency changed its name to Agape Missions as part of a strategic plan to expand existing programs and develop new programs. Agape Missions is incorporated as a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and is governed by a Board of Directors.
